True Transparency in Government

I stand for ensuring all legislation is written in plain language enabling citizens to review and understand the true meaning a bill.

 

I stand for all expenditures to be published and posted online and in a timely manner.

 

I believe that, as an American, we have the constitutional and moral right to understand how our tax dollars are being allocated and more importantly spent. We have found our legislators often allocate tax revenue for specific line items and then serendipitously divert those revenues towards other projects without informing the tax payers, another kind of taxation without representation. It is imperative our government provides the tools necessary to allow each citizen to gain a comprehensive understanding as to how each dollar is spent and to provide a effective channel to voice their opinions.

 

If elected, I will support legislation that requires detailed accounting of all tax dollars allocated on illegal immigrant’s services, including education and health. I addition I will also utilize new media technologies, while the House is in session, to share with my constituents why I voted in favor or against each bill. My objective as your representative is to establish a higher level of excellence in the ongoing fight to deliver true transparency to the constituents of District 66.
