I stand for high-quality education delivered by exceptional teachers who are rewarded for exemplary performance. I stand for supporting schools that consistently meet and exceed levels of education standards that will produce students that will be competitive and successful in a global workforce. In addition to emphasizing math, science and English, I will fight to ensuring our students are taught the rich history of America and learn to appreciate the benefits of Democracy and Capitalism. We can reallocate tax dollars spent on programs not aligned with these educational goals, and apply those dollars to reward exceptional teachers.

 

America has lost its leadership position in education. This has been a slow process resulting in a disastrous outcome for our country and our long term viability as a country. We can no longer allow our classrooms to act as “sociological labs” introducing the latest philosophical "feel good" curriculum. The class room should be used for training and educating our future generations with the fundamentals required to be professionally competitive in this global economy. Social indoctrination has failed our children and we must return to the basics. America spends more money on education per student than any other country in the world, yet our students continue to test lower than other countries. This trend must be reversed or we will find our future American workforce competing as a third world country.

 

If elected, I will fight for education reform that has the students' best interests first and foremost. We need to eliminate wasted time spent in the classroom on irrelevant subjects, issues and subjects best addressed by a student's parents. I will also ensure our tax dollars are spent on U.S. citizens only and not illegal immigrants. I will fight for a parent's right to education vouchers. In addition parents should be eligible to receive a credit on their property taxes, if they have chosen alternative, private school educational options for their children.
